Plug-and-play.

01

Open GMic on your PC

Launch the Windows app. It immediately starts listening on your local network and broadcasts a discovery beacon — no configuration required.

02

Connect your Android

Open GMic on your Android device. It automatically discovers your PC and shows it in the list. Tap it to connect. On first use, approve the device on your PC.

03

Stream

Tap the microphone button on Android. Audio streams instantly to your PC. Use it as a mic in any app — Discord, Zoom, OBS, Teams — via VB-Cable routing.

Three ways
to connect.

Choose how audio reaches your PC. In all three modes it travels locally — never over the internet.

Recommended

Wi-Fi

Stream over your local network. The lowest latency and the best quality. Auto-discovery finds your PC instantly — no IPs, no setup.

  • Automatic discovery
  • Audio + control over the network
  • Best quality (up to 48 kHz stereo)

Bluetooth

No shared Wi-Fi? Pair your phone to your PC over Bluetooth and stream with no network at all. Great for travel or locked-down networks.

  • Works with no Wi-Fi
  • Direct RFCOMM pairing
  • Automatic reconnect

USB Cable

The most reliable link. Connect your phone by USB (with USB debugging enabled) and audio tunnels through the cable — immune to Wi-Fi congestion.

  • The most reliable connection
  • No network interference
  • Automatic reconnect

A proper Windows app.
Built with WinUI 3.

Not an Electron app. Not a web wrapper. Native Windows 11 design — Mica backdrop, dark mode, system tray, and starts with Windows.

Zero-Config Discovery

GMic broadcasts over your local network. Android finds your PC automatically — no IP address, no ports, no setup. Just open both apps.

Route to Any App

Output audio to any playback device or VB-Cable virtual device. Use your phone's mic in Discord, Zoom, Teams, OBS, Streamlabs, or any DAW.

Live Audio Monitor

Monitor incoming audio directly on your PC. See the connected device, audio format, streaming stats, and toggle the speaker preview — all from the Dashboard.

Trusted Devices

First connection shows an approval dialog. Approve once, and GMic remembers that device forever. Manage trusted devices from Settings.

Windows

Native Windows Integration

Start with Windows. Minimize to system tray. Mica/Acrylic backdrop. Supports Light and Dark mode. Feels at home on Windows 11.

Fine-Tune Latency & Quality

Choose from three quality presets from the Settings page. Adjust buffer size (in ms) to balance latency vs. stability for your network conditions.

Your mic. In your pocket.
Always on. Never silent.

Keep Streaming in Background

GMic runs as a foreground service with a wake lock. Lock your screen, switch apps — audio keeps streaming without interruption.

Notification Quick Controls

Mute/unmute or disconnect directly from the Android notification. Non-dismissable while active — so you never accidentally stop a session.

Choose Your Audio Source

Pick the microphone source that fits your use case: Default, Microphone, Voice Communication (with echo cancellation), Camcorder, or Voice Recognition.

Quality for Every Use Case

Low Latency for voice chat. Balanced for calls and streaming. High Quality in 48 kHz Stereo for music and professional recording. Switch instantly.

Auto-Connect on Launch

Enable Auto-Connect and GMic automatically reconnects to your last PC every time you open the app. No tapping required.

Beautiful Material 3 Design

Built with Jetpack Compose and Material 3. Supports dark mode, adaptive color, dynamic theming on Android 12+. Looks great on phones and tablets.

Wear OS

On your wrist.
GMic for Wear OS.

Leave your phone in your pocket. GMic runs natively on your Wear OS watch — find your PC, tap the mic, and your watch becomes a wireless microphone. The same low-latency streaming, tailored to the round screen and the rotating crown.

  • Native Wear OS app (over Wi-Fi)
  • Tap-to-talk button with live latency
  • Full settings on the watch
  • No phone required

Discord & Gaming

Got a gaming headset with a broken mic? Stream your voice through GMic directly into Discord. Set VB-Cable as your Discord input, and your phone becomes a crystal-clear wireless microphone — no hardware required.

Zoom / Teams / Google Meet

Tired of your laptop's built-in mic picking up keyboard noise and echo? Place your phone close to you, launch GMic, and your meetings sound like a recording studio. Works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, and any platform that lets you pick a microphone input.

OBS & Streaming

Streamers use GMic to capture clean voice audio without a USB mic on their desk. Route GMic to VB-Cable, add it as an Audio Input Capture source in OBS, and your stream sounds professional. Move around, gesture, point — your phone follows you wirelessly.

Presentations & Talks

Clip your phone to your shirt, open GMic, and present wirelessly. No lavalier mic needed. Walk away from the podium, move to the whiteboard — your audio follows you, and your audience hears every word.

Recording & Podcasting

Need a second microphone for a guest recording? Use GMic on a second Android device. High Quality preset at 48 kHz Stereo captures broadcast-quality audio — route to Audacity, Adobe Audition, or any DAW via VB-Cable for post-processing.
