Nebula Host
Self-hosted Minecraft server manager
Nebula Host runs Minecraft servers on your own computer: create a server, start it, watch the console, and manage players, mods, backups and files from one app. It can also control servers on another PC or a Raspberry Pi, from a second computer or a browser. No account, no cloud.

Nebula Host
Available
Every major server type
Sleeps when empty
Players and mods
Automatic backups
Core Features
Every major server type
Create Vanilla, Paper, Purpur, Fabric, Forge or NeoForge servers. Start, stop and restart them, with a live console and command autocomplete.
Sleeps when empty
A server can sleep when nobody is online and wake the moment someone joins, so it costs nothing while nobody plays.
Players and mods
See who is online, manage the whitelist, ops and bans, and browse and install mods and plugins from Modrinth, with a file manager and world import.
Automatic backups
Automatic and manual backups with rotation, and a clean stop before Windows shuts down, so a restart does not corrupt a world.
Control other machines
Pair a PC or a Raspberry Pi with a 6-digit code, control its servers, see every machine and its load in one view, and move a server between machines.
Web panel
Open the same interface from a phone or another PC on your home network. It is off by default.
Port forwarding with UPnP
Optional UPnP port forwarding shows a public address you can share with friends, so you do not have to touch the router.
Private by design
No telemetry, no analytics and no accounts. Settings, servers and backups stay on your machine.
Workflow
Install it
Use the Windows installer or Store package, or a Linux .deb, .rpm or AppImage. The first run asks you to name the machine and checks what the PC can do.
Create a server
Pick a type and version. If Java is missing it offers a one-click install of the recommended one (Eclipse Temurin). It asks before accepting the Minecraft EULA.
Play and manage
Copy the address, share it, and manage the console, players, mods and backups from the same app.
Platforms
Windows
Available
Windows 10 (version 2004, build 19041) or newer, and Windows 11, desktop only. Install it from the Microsoft Store.
Linux
Available
Desktop packages (.deb, .rpm, .AppImage), plus a headless node, nebula-node, for x86_64 and ARM64 machines such as a Raspberry Pi. Get them from the GitHub releases.
Web panel
Coming Soon
The same interface in a browser on your local network. Meant for a trusted home network only.
Android
Coming Soon
An Android app to manage and host small servers. It is not released yet.
Inside the app
Requirements and details
- Version
- 0.5.1. Free to use, with no purchases. Ads may be added in the future, mainly on Android.
- Systems
- Windows 10 (2004) and 11; Linux x86_64 or ARM64 with a recent distribution (tested on Ubuntu 26.04). Android 7.0+ for the Android app.
- Java
- Needed to run servers: Java 25 for Minecraft 26.x, 21 for 1.20.5–1.21.x, 17 for 1.17–1.20.4 and 8 for older versions. On desktop the app can install Eclipse Temurin for you.

- Memory and disk
- Servers get 4 GB by default and the app warns below that. Each world can take several GB of disk.
- Ports

- Account
- None. Nothing goes through a server of ours.
Frequently asked
Is it a launcher?
No. It hosts and manages servers. To play, you still use your usual launcher and connect to the address Nebula Host gives you.
What does it send over the internet?
It downloads server files and Java from Mojang, PaperMC, Purpur, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Adoptium, searches and downloads mods on Modrinth, and loads player avatars from crafatar.com and mc-heads.net (which receive the player name or UUID, and your IP like any web request). It has no auto-updater and makes no update check. "Share log" uploads to mclo.gs only when you press it, and those logs are public and expire after about 90 days.
Can I host more than Minecraft?
Not yet. Other games are planned in the architecture, but only Minecraft is supported today.
Is there cloud backup?
Not yet. Backups are stored on your machine. Cloud backup is on the roadmap but not promised.
Before you start
Not an official Minecraft product
Nebula Host is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.
The Minecraft EULA
Running a server means accepting the Minecraft EULA. Nebula Host asks you before it creates a server and writes eula.txt.
Back up before you change things
It keeps the 3 newest automatic backups by default, but make a manual one before importing a world or moving a server to another machine.
Opening a server to the public
It exposes your IP address and ports. Use a whitelist and keep the server updated. Remote access and the web panel are for a trusted home network only: they are not encrypted.
Hosting on a phone
Fine for small games, but it uses battery and memory, and the players need to be on the same Wi-Fi. The Android app is not released yet.
It does not touch your game
Nebula Host is only a server host. It does not read your Minecraft account or launcher profiles, and it does not modify any client, so it cannot get a player banned. It only reads launcher folders to find Java, and only writes inside its own server folders, its backups and a world you choose to import. Mods and plugins you install are your responsibility.
